Summary
We need to replace the idea of DIE - domination, individualism,
exclusion with OLA - ‘olu’olu(compatible, non-conflictive, mellow,
comfortable, non-dominating), lokahi(elevating the importance of
family, groups, and seeing things from holistic view), aloha(caring,
sharing, inclusiveness, and love)

3. The issue
As a society, we dissociate ourselves from the inhumanity that is all
around us. Hence, every time someone commits a heinous crime,
we forget that it is someone who is part of the society just like we
are.
Hence, the idea of DIE prevails within the society.

7. Fixing the issue
Well, it is one of those innate human behaviors that cannot be
eradicated completely. The issue of domination and exclusion is so
persistent within the society that it is almost human nature to
behave in that way.
I believe we could have more programs based on inclusiveness to
at least make the rejected subjects of the society feel that there are
still humans out there who are willing to give them another chance,
some hope.
