2. I chose the assistant font type as my body paragraph text, the use of slab like text makes
it evident, bold, impactful, and most importantly attention-grabbing, I want to engage my
viewers and keep them coming back to the website. . In my opinion this font gives off a sporty
vibe and it displays strong and honest, wholesome text that when you read it you will retain the
content easier and can be read easier. I find this font to be bold, eye catching, and it gives off a
strong and trustworthy vibe. This has great contrast and it pairs well with the header text that I
have chosen and can be seen above According to Digital Synopsis “Every font has a unique
personality and purpose.” I 100% agree with the statement, each font tells a story and can be
used to tell stories that the user wants to tell. In this article it describes how bold and large text
represent dominance, significance, and are important. This is exactly my views when I was
choosing my text and thought that would represent my brand best. For my headers and my title
font I decided to use Alfa Slab One, in. my opinion this text is extremely sporty, the text is bold,
and attention grabbing and will engage the reader more do to its size and dominance. The header
3. text relates to my personal brand and the fact that I want to be a sports marketer due to the sporty
vibe and dominance that the font holds. I also chose this font because it can easily be used to tell
where the hierarchy lies with the content on my website, with the use if this font I can be clear
and concise and direct the users to where I want them to go.
I decided to use the colors and shades of blue due to the fact that blue relates to royalty,
wisdom, faith, and seriousness, I also decided to incorporate orange into my color palate to use
that color as my call to action button and to apply contrast to the blue in my color palate.
According to Smashing Magazine “Blue is also used extensively to represent calmness and
responsibility. Light blues can be refreshing and friendly. Dark blues are stronger and more
reliable.” I took this into consideration when I was choosing my colors from my website, I want
to represent a strong, refreshing, and friendly website to match the personality that I have. I also
4. learned about analogous, monochromatic, complementary, triadic, and custom color schemes. In
my opinion I have analogous and somewhat custom color scheme. I love the blues and the hint of
orange will work great for hover colors, my call to action buttons, and of the white background
will contrast well with all the colors that I have chosen.
