Having a great workplace culture increases engagement and performance, yet many leadership teams lack the tools they need to successfully develop one. In this webinar, you will receive guidance on how to adapt your workplace culture and improve your employee experience.
6. In simple terms, culture is
the way people show up,
treat each other,
and approach their work.
It’s the rules of engagement
that define what it means
to be part of a team.
7. Exceptional culture
is achieved through
clearly defined behaviors
and mindsets that are:
universally understood,
that everyone takes
ownership and
accountability for,
and that absolutely
no one is exempt from.
9. CLARITY
A behavior-based
culture,
not a value-based
culture.
COMMITMENT
Behaviors apply to
every single person,
without exception.
CONSISTENCY
Implement culture into
all aspects of
employee experience.
Operationalize it.
THE THREE Cs OF ESTABLISHING EXCEPTIONAL CULTURE
10. Clarity ("We" Statements)
Clearly define the behaviors that establish the rules of engagement for how
people show up, approach their work, and treat each other. This is your Culture
DNA Code.
● Move beyond broad concepts like RESPECT & EXCELLENCE and get clear
on behaviors that address vital topics: feedback, conflict, navigating
change, gossip, etc.
“We see feedback as an opportunity, not a threat. We
actively seek it out and give and receive it with grace.”
THE THREE Cs OF ESTABLISHING EXCEPTIONAL CULTURE
12. Commitment (Means 100%)
The behaviors of your culture must apply to every single person without
exception — regardless of title, tenure or skill set — or they are meaningless.
● Accountability is not about punishment, it's about unwavering
commitment. Understand that whatever you allow, you endorse.
THE THREE Cs OF ESTABLISHING EXCEPTIONAL CULTURE
“Can someone behave clearly out of alignment with our culture
and keep their job?” The only acceptable answer after multiple
attempts to correct their behavior is: Hell no, absolutely not.
13. Consistency (Feeding the Fish)
Implement culture into all aspects of employee experience to be reinforced
and lived every day. Operationalize it.
● Integrate into team conversations, feedback & coaching, recognition &
acknowledgment, training & development, onboarding, etc.
THE THREE Cs OF ESTABLISHING EXCEPTIONAL CULTURE
Examples
● Team Conversations: Everyone participates in a monthly culture
meeting to revisit DNA Code and reflect on how the team is
showing up.
● Onboarding: Feedback training during onboarding.
