Architect A.F.M. Mohiuddin Akhand has been teaching interior architecture for 13 years. He studied in Europe, Africa, and Asia, visiting 16 countries total. He received his Bachelor's degree from Manuel L. Quezon University in the Philippines in 2000, where he was awarded as the most outstanding foreign student. After graduating, he worked for an architectural firm and Shaheedullah & Associates in Bangladesh. In 2003, he joined Shanto-Mariam University as a lecturer and became Assistant Professor in 2008. He then earned his post-graduate degree from the UK and taught there before returning to Bangladesh in 2010 to head the Architecture and Interior Architecture departments at Shanto-Mariam University.

Akhand has been in full-time teaching for last 13 years. He studied in
three different continent(Europe, Africa, Asia) and visited 16 countries.
around the world. He graduated from the Manuel L. Quezon University of
Manila, Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree in
year 2000.During his study he was awarded as one of the most outstanding
foreign student in the Philippines. It was a Nation wide compaction which
was participated by 64 champions from different Universities those got
foreign students. It was 31st year of the compaction when he own that.
After graduation he served in one of the most prestigious Architectural firm
as apprentice Architect for eighteen months.
After coming back to Bangladesh in 2002,he become member of Institute of
Architect Bangladesh and served in one of the most prominent Architectural
and engineering farm in Bangladesh named “Shaheedullah & Associates ltd.
”He successfully served there as an Architect for almost two years and
worked with the most prominent Architects and Engineers of the country.

In year 2003 he joined in Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology
as a lecturer and after five years of full time successful teaching ,he was
promoted to Assistant Professor in 2008.
In 2008 right after the promotion he went to United Kingdom for Post-
Graduation in Interior Architecture. After successful completion ,as an
Assistant professor and faculty of Edexel ,UK course “Nation Diploma in 3d
design” he was given the opportunity to serve as Teaching Assistant in
“Birmingham City University". He was given formal training in teaching at
that time .
After coming back in 2010 he was assigned with the responsibilities of two
departments. He was appointed as Head of the Department of Architecture
and Interior Architecture. He was also appointed as Chief Architect of the
Shanto-Mariam Foundation. He successfully served as Head of both the
departments for four years. At present he is serving as Head of the
Department of Interior Architecture and Chief Architect of the Shanto-
Mariam Foundation.
