• Responsible for the hardware design and validation of VHF, UHF, 700MHz and 800MHz RF Extenders for use
in P25 Public Safety Radio systems;
• Responsible for the development testing and debugging of embedded firmware, DSP and user interface
software as well as final product validation of software defined radio extenders;
• Responsible for the integration and functional system testing of Futurecom and Motorola equipment –
XTL/XTS/APX- Series radios operating on on Type II trunking, P25 FDMA and TDMA Trunked FNE
• Creating Test procedures and performing qualification testing of P25 and analog vehicular repeaters,
channelized repeaters and bi-directional amplifiers as well as their sub-assemblies;
• Handling of all FCC and Industry Canada certifications of radio equipment;
• Design of duplexers and specialized filters, specification of duplexers, filters, combiners from outside vendors
for RF coverage extension systems and RF repeaters;
• Coordinating projects in the engineering department, and supporting manufacturing department needs for
changes in design and documentation;
