REPORT: This laptop was discovered stolen during a routine inventory check within a government
agency in Louisiana. Absolute Software Forensic Tools revealed the end-user to be in the New Orleans
area and thanks to the Absolute laptop security software the activity of the criminal was recorded,
including the distribution of drugs and pictures of the accused with firearms. A summary of the records
were provided to the Louisiana State Police who were able to obtain a search warrant and recover the
laptop.
Thanks to persistent forensic tools the suspected laptop thief has been identified and the laptop
recovered.
