2014
WWW.INDIANEXPRESS.COM
MTB Shimla is a 2-day 150 km
mountain bicycle race that is held
every year in April in Shimla,
Himachal Pradesh. I participate and
reported on women riders, only five
among 70 male participants,
outperforming men in India's
toughest cycle race in the
Himalayas.

5. NEPAL
EARTHQUAKE,
APRIL 2015
INDIANEXPRESS WWW.INDIANEXPRESS.COM
My report from Ground Zero: The
iconic Swayambhunath stupa in
Kathmandu was relatively lucky in the
aftermath of the devastating Nepal
earthquake. Only one person was
killed in the area though the
earthquake shook the entire structure
and reduced old houses, to rubble
within 15 seconds.

MTB
HIMALAYA,
SEPT 2015
MTB Himalaya is touted as the world’s
third toughest mountain cycle race. It is
a 600km cross-country race that starts
from Shimla and the entire route takes
riders through scenic Himalayan
mountain ranges. I participated and
reported on how relationships between
countries can be improved through
cycling, since this race hosts foreign
participants as well.

SSB TREK,
JANUARY 2016
The Sashastra Seema Bal organised a
184-km expedition to their high
altitude posts situated along the Indo-
Nepal international border in January
2016 to apprise people about the tough
living conditions at high altitude. I was
the only media person invited to
document this expedition.

NAGAUR FAIR,
FEBRUARY
2015
The 10-day-long Nagaur fair is one of
Rajasthan’s biggest annual cattle
fair. Every year, around 70,000 cattle
are traded including horses, bullocks.
The Nagaur fair still retains its
innocence because till date very few
people know about it. I spent 48 hours
at the festival to see what it's all about.

PUSHKAR
CAMEL FAIR,
OCTOBER 2016
The annual Pushkar cattle fair is a
riot of colours, cattle and a slice of
local culture that attracts travellers
and photography enthusiasts in
droves every year. This is my
second year of documenting
Pushkar's inimitable cattle fair and I
am amazed at the photo stories that
come out of this sleepy town every
year during October.
