The Differences Between

     Your & You’re
     Effect & Affect
  They’re, There & Their
The differences between
your and you’re can
drastically alter your
sentence structure.
Here’s how:

• The apostrophe in
  ‘you’re’ essentially
  substitutes for the
  letter A. So broken
  down, you’re becomes
  you are.

• The word ‘your’ directly
  talks about
  possession. Your
  refers to something a
  person owns.
The differences between effect and affect can be complicated and it’s often hard
to determine which to use. Here’s the best way to understand:

• Affect refers to what it does to you or a person. In this case- the arrow affects
the aardvark. It directly refers to how the aardvark is affected.

• Effect refers to what happens. The effect was eye popping. The effect is not
what the arrow does directly to the aardvark but how the aardvark responses.
They’re, There and There
are some of the most
commonly misplaced words
in the English language.
Here’s how to avoid using
the wrong one:

• The apostrophe in
  ‘they’re’ substitutes for
  the letter A. Broken
  down, they’re becomes
  they are.
• There is directly referring
to a place. If you take off
  the letter T, it becomes
  here, the opposite of
  there.
• Their refers to a group of
  people. It is often also
  used it terms of
  possession.
Just remember:
                                              whichever word you
                                              use, can drastically
                                              change what your
                                              sentence means!
