10. Children who are abused live
in a world with no color.
They can’t find the light in
the dark because no one
gives them the chance.
Neglect, verbal, sexual,
physical, they are all forms of
abuse with one thing that ties
them together…emotional
scars.
Editor's Notes
My name is Daniel. I have been focusing on Child abuse, and torture prevention. This is article #5, and this human right is being violated every day. Nearly 3 kids every day die from child abuse.
My name is Jenny, and I am maddi. This is an original poem by Catalina, Aaron and myself, Jenny called Let Them Live.
Jenny:The lesson each night that penetrates, annihilates ones will to continue. Each time it strikes harder, A nightmare begins to an innocent child
Maddi: A fist, a voice, pure neglect. You would think there would be sound and cries. Both: But no. Silence, it rips through your heart, its as quiet as a whisper. Pray the price of admission. Please no not again.
Jenny:Foot steps strike fear, anger strikes harder. Fear to appose. Those with authority. When it is all done. A breath can finally be taken.
both:Let them live
Maddi:There are chances in life where you can make a difference
Both:Break the silence
Step up to the plate and guide the way to the future with no child abuse. Every child is born equal and innocent, no one deserves mal treatment. It should not hurt to be a child, growing up each day should not be a fear. You must first influence your community to be able to influence the world. Let them live.
