1. Today’s Lesson: CIRCLES
Learning Objective:
CIRCLE:
Radius, Centre, Diameter , Chord , Arc ,
Circumference, Semi Circle , Interior and exterior of
a Circle.
Compass: Constructing a circle.
Instructions: EXERCISE 18
(a) Please read the notes carefully and copy in your
notebook.
(b) We Do: We will practice FOUR questions together.
(c) You Do: You will work through these problems
independently (Home work)
2. Circles
Circle:
A simple closed and round shape, set of all points in a flat surface lie at a given point from a
center point is called as Circle.
The fixed point is called the Centre of the circle and the constant distance is known as the
radius of the circle.
Full moon is the example of a circle.

CFU’s
Step 1:
1. How many sides are in the figure?2. What is another name for a four-sided figure?3. What is a polygon?Step 2:
1. What is an acute angle?2. What is an obtuse angle?3. Why is the measure of the angles important in determining the name of the figure? Step 3:
1. What is a four-sided figure called?2. Why is "parallelogram" not the best name for this figure?3. What are some other names that also describe this figure?
