From 21 October 2007 till date,
QATAR PETROLEUM HEALTHCARE DEPARTMENT, QATAR
Working in the Qatar Petroleum Healthcare Department Occupational Health
Centre owned & managed by Qatar Petroleum in the capacity of Nurse
Paramedic/ Occupational Health Nurse. The Company is one of the biggest in oil
and gas in the world. The Medical Facilities provide Accident & Emergency Care
for the employees and dependent. The facilities also provide General Medical
Services to the employees and dependents as well as Occupational Health
Services to the employees.
Major duties and responsibilities:
o Provide medical treatment to ill/injured personnel including the
needs of medical evacuation, handling any trauma patient including
Advance Life Support management such as an Airway intubation,
CPR, circulation, defibrillation, medication and stabilization of the
patient.
o Involved in Occupational Health Unit activities i.e. periodic health
examination, return to work examination, medical surveillance,
health promotion and rehabilitation
o Provide Stabilization, Resuscitation and other Life Support/First
Aid measures for injuries and illnesses in line with (ATLS, BTLS,
PHTLS, ACLS ALS, and Guidelines Basing European & American
Resuscitation Council).
o Daily check for the function and effectiveness of all, Emergency
Equipment, Casualty Rooms, Disaster Boxes, Burn Boxes & the 2
ambulances.
o Identifies and plans clinical material, supplies and equipment
requirements and raises requisition accordingly.
o Liaises with Procurement Section and Supply Section to establish
essential stocks for the A & E Department.
o Coordinates medical evacuation and cooperates with the Team
Leader and the receiving facilities.
o Assists in providing medical support during evacuation. Advises
evacuees on the requirements for evacuation and/or escorts patients
