Job and responsibility of a nurse in Operation Room
• Receiving patients to theOT.
• Identify the patient & giving Psychological support to the patient.
• Check for the reports and consent
• Explain the procedure to the patient.
• Check for any ornaments, dentures etc.
• Check for the pre-medication
• Check for appropriate skin preparation
• Help the patient to wearthe sterile dress Scrub Nurse

• Scrubbing, gowning and gloving, Keep the field sterile
• Preparation of trolley and draping the patients with sterile Drapes

• Ensure that the circulatory nurse checks it, anticipating the needs of surgeons.
• At the end of surgery put dressing and return instruments for washing.
