In England there is Halloween. In Halloween, children are masqueraded wearing
various masks and carry pumpkins. They open a large hole at the top of the
pumpkin and put a candle inside and use the pumpkin as a lantern. In the
evenings they go from home to home and ask for “treat” or “trick”. It is a school
free day.
5. ΚΑΝΑΔΑΣ
In the carnival at Rio, the dancers wear revealing bikinis, but in Canada, the attire
is strictly winter carnival. This is because the temperature prevailing in Quebec,
this time of year is very low and the snow has covered almost everything!
With hat, gloves and thick jacket, participants in Canada carnival host the
"Bonomo carnival“ and the snowman carnival. The fiesta begins and lasts around
20 days! Besides the parades with floats, costumes and impressive outdoor
bands, the leading role in the carnival of Quebec is played by snow. Exhibition of
sculptures, ice racing with sledges and plunges into icy lakes for adventurous,
are just some of the original ideas of the Canadian carnival!
