1. Fall in Indiana is always a
beautiful time of year and this
is our second one in a row that
we get to be enjoying. We
have enjoyed Brown County
State Park, Corn mazes, cara-
mel apples, apple cider and
choosing pumpkins to deco-
rate our front porch. However,
along with enjoying this beauti-
ful time of year in Indiana, we
are constantly reminded of
how the changing seasons
bring us closer and closer to
our desired date of getting to
Panama. This brings the real-
ity of why we are here in the
first place.
In August, we wrote openly
about the heartache and frus-
tration that we faced in having
to make the decision to come
home to raise support. Since
that time, we have sent 70
packets of information to
churches and individuals, re-
questing support—both prayer
and financial support. We
praise the Lord that this effort
has yielded a few new
monthly supporters and a
few one-time donations.
But, we must continue to
trust Him for the huge
amount that is still needed.
We are painfully aware that
we are in a town that has
been heavily hit with the
economic crisis and many
people are struggling to
meet their own obligations,
let alone taking on the sup-
port of another family.
We realize that, to the fami-
lies that we approach for
support, it probably feels
like an un-ending, over-
whelming commitment to
support missionaries. But,
here’s what we realized.
You know the old saying
“Many hands make light
work”? The same is true
with supporting missionar-
ies. If we could find 125
families (and there are al-
most 400 receiving this let-
ter!) who could commit to
just $20 a month in fi-
nancial support, we
would meet our goal!
That is just about 3 cof-
fees from your favorite
coffee shop, or less than
eating one meal out as a
family. When we put it in
terms like that, it feels
more obtainable.
So, with that goal in
mind, we would like to
ask YOU...could you and
your family commit to
$20 a month? Would
you prayerfully consider
joining our support
team? Your little bit
each month could make
all the world of difference
in our life and ministry!
Many people working
together could get us
back on the mission field
to recruit, equip and dis-
ciple the Latin church for
worldwide impact! All
that for only $20 a
month!
beautiful days
ministry happens where you are….
One of the blessings of being
back home for a bit of a longer
period is that we get to be in-
volved in ministry. Clint has
joined the worship team at our
home church, Crossroads
Community Church. We both
have joined in with the youth
ministry of Crossroads, as
well. It’s so exciting to see
what God is doing in our
home church and the ways
that the youth ministry is
molding and shaping young
people’s lives and to hear
how many of them are be-
ing called into ministry.
Becky is excited to lead a
small group of 12– and
13-year-old girls as well.
It has been such a relief
to still be involved in min-
istry even though we can-
not be on the foreign mis-
sion field right now!

2. friends and supporters.
Because he flew on a Buddy
Pass, he was flying stand-by,
which means he has to wait to
see if the airline will allow him
onto the plane. At the time of
this writing, he is still not home,
after more than 3 weeks in
South Africa! He has been de-
nied a seat for almost a week
now! It has been frustrating for
all of us, but on the positive side,
it has allowed Clint extra time to
spend with our friends and for-
mer colleagues in Pretoria and
Johannesburg. Please pray that
he will get on a flight soon so
that he can get home to us on
this side of the Atlantic!
In the beginning of October, we
were so blessed by a friend’s
donation to us of a Delta Airlines
Buddy Pass, enabling Clint to go
to South Africa to surprise his
family with a 2-week visit. It
ended up being such a wonder-
ful visit for him to be with his
family and to reconnect with
As a family, things are going well. In
September, we moved out of Becky’s
sister’s place and into our church’s
Mission Apartment. The church has
graciously opened the door for us to
stay in the apartment, which has
turned out to be such a blessing. The
kids love
having
their own
space to
play and
especially
enjoy the
huge
church parking lot to ride their bikes
in!
Gabi & Julianna recently finished their
soccer season (very excited to get
their
tro-
phies! Aliya continues with piano
lessons and is excited to start girls’
basketball in November!
We have especially enjoyed special
moments with Grandma and Grandpa
and with old and new friends.
In October, Becky and the girls en-
joyed a day in Brown County with
Becky’s dad. It was a beautiful Fall
day and we
got to ex-
perience
the sights,
sounds and
smells of
Southern
Indiana in
the Fall.
And the
memories
we made
with
Grandpa will last a lifetime!
That we will be sensitive to hear
what He is saying to us about
the timing of going to Panama
That God will speak clearly to
those people He wants on our
support team
For the girls in school, that they
will continue to excel and do
well in all their classes
With everything going on in our
lives, in your life, in this country and
around the world, the most impor-
tant thing you can do is PRAY.
Please pray with us about the fol-
lowing things:
That we will continue to rely
only on God to provide what we
need.
For us as a family, that we will
remember to make family time
priority, even in the midst of this
difficult transitional time
For health and safety as we
have battled sinus infections
and coughing bouts
For Clint to be able to return
home with us!
