 While a variety of theories have been postulated for the etymological origins of ________, the name
is now accepted as coming from the St. Lawrence Iroquoian word _________, meaning "village" or
"settlement". In 1535, indigenous inhabitants of the present-day Quebec City region used the
word to direct French explorer Jacques Cartier to the village of Stadacona. Cartier later used the
word _______ to refer not only to that particular village, but the entire area subject to Donnacona
(the chief at Stadacona); by 1545, European books and maps had begun referring to this region as
_________.
 From the 16th to the early 18th century __________ referred to the part of New France that lay
along the St. Lawrence River. In 1791, the area became two British colonies called Upper _________
and Lower ________ collectively named The __________; until their union as the British Province of
________ in 1841.

 _________ was founded in 1802 by Éleuthère Irénée _________, using capital raised in France and
gunpowder machinery imported from France. The company was started at the Eleutherian Mills,
on the Brandywine Creek, near Wilmington, Delaware, two years after he and his family left
France to escape the French Revolution. It began as a manufacturer of gunpowder, as
__________noticed that the industry in North America was lagging behind Europe. The company
grew quickly, and by the mid-19th century had become the largest supplier of gunpowder to the
United States military, supplying half the powder used by the Union Army during the American
Civil War. The Eleutherian Mills site is now a museum and a National Historic Landmark.
 In the 20th century, _________ developed many polymers such as Vespel, neoprene, nylon, Corian,
Teflon, Mylar, Kevlar, Zemdrain, M5 fiber, Nomex, Tyvek, Sorona and Lycra. ________ developed
Freon (chlorofluorocarbons) for the refrigerant industry, and later more environmentally friendly
refrigerants. It also developed synthetic pigments and paints including ChromaFlair.

 In number theory, _________________________________ states that no three positive integers a, b, and c
satisfy the equation an + bn = cn for any integer value of n strictly greater than two. The cases n =
1 and n = 2 have been known to have infinitely many solutions since antiquity.
 This theorem was first conjectured by Pierre de __________ in 1637 in the margin of a copy of
Arithmetica where he claimed he had a proof that was too large to fit in the margin. The first
successful proof was released in 1994 by Andrew Wiles, and formally published in 1995, after 358
years of effort by mathematicians. The unsolved problem stimulated the development of algebraic
number theory in the 19th century and the proof of the modularity theorem in the 20th century. It
is among the most notable theorems in the history of mathematics and prior to its proof, it was in
the Guinness Book of World Records as the "most difficult mathematical problem", one of the
reasons being that it has the largest number of unsuccessful proofs.

 This product was launched in 1960s and was codenamed ‘Project Muscle’ and
marketed as Chemcor. The company sent a film clip of its scientists crazily
banging and bending it to 200 TV stations.
 The product was used until the early 1990s in commercial and industrial
applications, including automotive, aviation and pharmaceutical uses, notably in
approximately one hundred 1968 Dodge Dart and Plymouth Barracuda racing
cars, where minimizing the vehicle's weight was essential. Experimentation was
revived in 2005, investigating whether the product could be made suitable
enough for use in consumer electronics.

 It is said that he got the vision of building a big futuristic city during a hunting
expedition near Shivanasamudra (near Hesaraghatta) near Bengaluru. He
envisioned the city to have a fort, a cantonment, tanks (water reservoirs), temples
and people of all trades and professions to live in it. He conquered Sivaganga
principality, 30 miles from Bengaluru on Bengaluru-Pune highway. Next he
annexed Domlur, which is on the road from Bengaluru to the old Bengaluru
Airport. Within this vast forest area, with the necessary Imperial permission of the
Vijayanagar Emperor, Achyutharaya (Dasarahalli record dated 1532) he built
Bengaluru fort and the town in 1537 A D., and moved his capital from Yelahanka
to the new Bengaluru Pete.

 On Thursday, March 4th, the World Trade Center Transportation Hub in Lower Manhattan
officially opened to the public. The hub replaces the PATH train station that was destroyed
during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which — if you'll recall — was rather a long time ago. Indeed,
over 12 years in the making, the new train station is symbol of both governmental waste and
architectural excess.
 The building, designed by Spanish-Swiss architect Santiago Calatrava and called _________, is a
giant oval made up of steel ribs and glass laid out in elliptical shape, reaching for the sky like
wings of a bird. The space measures 350 feet (107 meters) long by 115 feet (35 meters) at its
widest point, according to Calatrava's website.
 Initially budgeted at $2 billion, it has spiraled to $3.85 billion according to a spokesperson in
Calatrava's office, which would make it the most expensive station in the world.
 It said that when completed, the transit hub will serve 250,000 people and more than 200,000
commuters each day, making it the third-largest transportation center in the city.

August 1853, ‘The introduction of ____________ in India would bring results
that must be unappreciable. ______________ would break up the self
sufficient inertia of the villages by fostering ancillary enterprises. It will
become truly the forerunner of modern industry in India. It will dissolve
the hereditary division of labour upon which rest the Indian castes, those
decisive impediments to Indian progress and Indian power.’

 ‘I was so enamoured of my wife, Ratnavali, that when she left
for her father’s house, I followed her. I had to cross a river in
spate. As there was no boat, I used a floating corpse to cross it.
I reached her house and climbed up to her room using what
turn out to be a Snake. On seeing me, she said, “Had you loved
God as intensely as you do this flesh and bones, you would
overcome all mortal fears.” I was speechless. I went away to
Prayag and renounce the world.

 “An anthropologist studying the habits and customs of an African tribe found himself
surrounded by children most days. So he decided to play a little game with them. He managed
to get candy from the nearest town and put it all in a decorated basket. at the foot of a tree.
Then he called the children and suggested they play the game. When the anthropologist said
“now”, the children had to run to the tree and the first one to get there could have all the candy
to him/herself. So the children all lined up waiting for the signal. When the anthropologist said
“now”, all of the children took each other by the hand ran together towards the tree. They all
arrived at the same time divided up the candy, sat down and began to happily munch away. The
anthropologist went over to them and asked why they had all run together when any one of
them could have had the candy all to themselves. The children responded: “________. How could
any one of us be happy if all the others were sad? “__________ is a philosophy of African tribes that
can be summed up as “I am what I am because of who we all are.”

 When it comes to the discovery of elements on the periodic table, you can divide
the world into two parts- ________, and everywhere else. ________ is a village on a
speck of an island outside of Stockholm. But no place on earth has been more
important to the periodic table. A few places—if you count Latin names—can brag
that two elements have been named for them. ________ has four. And it could have
had more, since three other elements can trace their discovery to a modest mine
that once supported the community there.
 There are a few reasons why so much scientific energy was concentrated in such a
small space as ___________. First is the type of elements discovered there. All seven
of __________ elements were rare-earth elements.

 Ytterby
 Four of the names of these elements come straight from Ytterby—
ytterbium, yttrium, terbium, and erbium. The names couldn't get
much shorter— rbium doesn't look right—so for the rest, chemists
picked holmium, after Stockholm; thulium, after a mythic name for
Scandinavia; and gadolinium, after Gadolin himself.

F  In number theory, _________________________________ states that no three positive integers a, b, and c satisfy the equation an + bn = cn for any integer value of n strictly greater than two. The cases n = 1 and n = 2 have been known to have infinitely many solutions since antiquity.  This theorem was first conjectured by Pierre de __________ in 1637 in the margin of a copy of Arithmetica where he claimed he had a proof that was too large to fit in the margin. The first successful proof was released in 1994 by Andrew Wiles, and formally published in 1995, after 358 years of effort by mathematicians. The unsolved problem stimulated the development of algebraic number theory in the 19th century and the proof of the modularity theorem in the 20th century. It is among the most notable theorems in the history of mathematics and prior to its proof, it was in the Guinness Book of World Records as the "most difficult mathematical problem", one of the reasons being that it has the largest number of unsuccessful proofs.
