Amount Invested in Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP) doubles in 110 months (9 year and 2
months).
It gives interest @6.9% p.a
2. National saving certificate (250000₹) for 5 years
NSC qualifies for tax deduction under Section 80C of Income Tax Act and therefore
your investment up to Rs 1,50,000 would be eligible for tax deduction from income.

National pension scheme of LIC
A national pension scheme does not have a fixed rate of interest, but the returns are
based on the market performance of the funds as the investments are made in market-
linked securities. The contribution made towards the NPS scheme can be invested in
4 different asset classes like equities, government bonds, corporate bonds, and
alternative assets through different pension funds. The returns offered by these
pension funds depend on the market performance of the stocks and bonds
