Marco Antonio Solis was born December 29, 1959 in Ario
de Rosales, Michoácan, Mexico.
He is a Mexican composer, musician
and record producer.
Marco Antonio Solis had a passion for
music and formed a musical group at
the age of 12 with his cousin Joel Solis
called los Hermanitos Solis.

From those beginnings Marco Antonio Solis and Los Bukis began a
career with endless hits including “Te tuve y te perdi” (I had you
and lost you), “Una noche come esta” (One night like this) and
from their fourth album “Triste Imaginar” (Sad to Imagine).

5. From those early beginnings Marco Antonio Solis and Los
Bukis began a career with endless hits.
Their first concert tour of the Unites States was so memorable
that Marco Antonio Solis wrote a song about it called “Los
Alambrados” (The Fences) referring to the experience of
crossing the border.

During the summer of 1996
Marco Antonio Solis released
his first solos album entitled
“En Pleno Vuelo”(In Flight) after
the recording company made
him an offer. This ultimately
caused the break up with
Los Bukis.
