YAK BELIZE OFFICER IN CHARGE OF A NAVIGATIONAL WATCH PROGRAM, BELIZE Yak Belize Is the Authorised Training Center of lMMARBE (International Merchant Marine Registry of Belize), to Conduct the Course “ Officer ln charge of a Navigational Watch Program, Belize” the course is conducted in 3 stages, as follow: Eligibility : 1. Age between 17 ½ years to 30years 2. Passed 12 standards or equivalent (Science / Commerce /Arts) with English as one of the Subject 3. Medically fit as per IMO standards 4. No color blindness / eye sight as per lMO standards (6*6) Fees : Phase - 1: Rs. 1.51 Lacs which includes : 1. Lodging & Boarding 2. Uniform and other outfits 3. Books and Handouts 4. Belize CDC 5. Four basic course 6. Tuition & Examination Fees Phase - 2:Rs. 1.51 Lacs (On Ship Training) With Rigel Ship Management 1. 12 months On Ship Training in Foreign Going Vessels 2. Special Guided Program with Training Record Book 3. The individual has the option to arrange for this training on his own however YAK BELIZE shall provide all the assistance if so desired. - 9. MERCHANT NAVY AS A CAREER: Do you like travailing by sea, detest a 9 to 5 routine, want a financially comfortable job and don’t mind long stretches away from home..? A career in merchant navy may be what you should opt for. In a nutshell, the merchant navy is a commercial business and involves basic navigation skill from port to port, loading and unloading cargo while ensuring safety of the ship. Sea cargo transportation takes 99% of the world cargo market and leaves about 1% only (by weight) for the air transportation industry. The logistics transportation by using the cargo vessels still being the best alternative for shippers and consignees, because carrying on the goods/cargos by ships are safer, low freight in comparison to air transportation, and also it can carry bulk quantities. In fact, the world’s three fourth areas being water as ocean and sea, and only fourth are land, the number of ships are increasing. As well as they are getting bigger and better. The recent boom in the global economy has driven the sea freight market high. Moreover, this is the safest and most environment friendly form of commercial transport. Since shipping industry is regulated by UN- International Maritime Organizations (IMO), the job market is truly international. There are more than 70,000ships plying across the oceans and numbers are expected to increase very fast. So, are you ready to go on a paid world tour?
