Why Bad Design? this is a college website and information is more important than pictures, which took up half a page lay-out spanned a whole wide screen which may cause viewers to lose focus combination of purple and biege color gave us a feeling of more being an online shopping centre integration of too much illustration made it difficult to identify the focal point

Why Bad Design? the figure of the picture would most likely be the wide banner of the picture instead of the school’s info irrelevant links such as “Make a Gift” log in option is placed on the right hand side Emphasis of the pages seemed to be on the main bannered picture, which should not be the case very minimal information of the college is provided

Why Bad Design? the pages within each headings were not uniform in layout and design website is not economic as updates would almost definitely include changing the banner (since it’s the focal point), which cost a considerable amount of resources this page looked like one solely to advertise the school in first glance, however it is not attempted to provide school information but not effective due to layout

How not Bad Design? shorten the width of the whole website relocate the log in panel to the left simplify color scheme to include just purple and white add in borders to classify each section try to use only one main picture or illustration to bring the essence of the college remove unnecessary or irrelevant headings include more information such as module summaries and such
