This document discusses a study analyzing the levels of reflection of different teacher groups in an online community of practice (TOCOP) for teachers. It describes the TOCOP as providing formal and informal learning activities to support teachers' professional development. The study collected discussion posts and videos from novice, experienced, and key teachers in the TOCOP over three time periods. It then analyzed the data to examine trends in reflection levels of each group and correlations between them. The results showed all teacher groups improved in reflection over time, with novice teachers improving faster than others and experienced teachers having the highest levels. Novice teacher reflection was also found to be significantly influenced by key teachers.

TOCOP ( the Teacher’s Online Communities Of
Practice) is a learning community comprised of
teachers, experts and learning assistants, and it
provides formal and informal learning activities.
It can provide socialized, specialized, and
constant learning support service by focusing
on teachers’ professional learning,
TOCOP supports teachers’ deep
reflection and communication.
Also, we conducted
authenticity assessment on
teachers’ professional
learning every learning
period.

The trend of the change of three teacher groups’ levels of reflection
Three teacher groups’ levels of reflection have been improved.
Novice teacher group’s level of reflection has been improved faster
than other groups’.
Experienced teacher group’s have the highest level of reflection.
Novice teacher group’s level of reflection has been on the rise during
three phases; experienced teacher group’s grew faster in first and
second phases; and key teacher group’s grew faster in second and
third phases.

Interaction among three teacher groups’ levels of reflection
A multiple linear regression equation was created, which is a causal
model of three groups, to study the interaction among three teacher
groups’ levels of reflection. The result of regression analysis shows
that:
Y =0.362+0.801 X1

TOCOP has significantly
improved novice teachers’
level of reflection. Novice
teacher group’s high-level
reflection is significantly
affected by key teacher
group’s.
Reflection includes the
application of a problem’s
solution, and it happens
during the practice. So
TOCOP is a support for
teachers’ professional
learning and development.
Teachers’ knowledge
exists socially, extensively
and temporarily in
teachers’ practices. In the
future, we need to study
them in the complex
environment.
Thanks Mr.Chairmen(Prof. Lam For Kwok )!
Good afternoon ladies and gentleman! I feel very honored to have the opportunity to share my research with all of you at the EITT2014 International Conference.
Today my topic is:…………
My presentation contains five parts.
In the first part, I will make a brief introduction.
So far, there are two Kinds of Different Mode in the teacher training.
The first one named technology principle mode, which holds an over-simple and over-technological view towards instruction, transmitting certain strategies of teaching knowledge to teachers can help them solve various problems in their instruction.
The second mode is the Understand Mode, which means that besides teaching teachers subject knowledge, a good teacher training requires teachers to enhance their understanding of instruction by reflecting on their own teaching experience .
Since 2008, we tried by creating a TOCOP ( the Teacher’s Online Communities Of Practice)to realized the understand mode of teacher training.
By providing professional tools for analyzing instructional behaviors and scaffolds for learning, TOCOP supports teachers’ deep reflection and communication. Also, we conducted authenticity assessment on teachers’ professional learning every learning period.
The second part of my presentation is: LITERATURE REVIEW.
I want talk about this topic form three aspects:
The first one is “what is reflection?”
Sulman defined reflection as “a process of……
In the other hand, form psychological perspective,……
The second aspect is: ” Levels of reflection ”
Spark-Langer proposed a framework for reflective thinking of teaching, which has seven levels,……
In this study, we will according this framework to conduct the content analyze for BBS ‘s posts.
The third aspect is ,
The third part topic is
There are three parts in the research design: the data collecting, research method, and Reliability & Validity.
.
In this study, I collet the data from three dimension: the dimension of the teacher group, the dimension of resource of data, and the dimension of time.
In sum, we collect qualitative and quantitative data related to reflection from 120 teachers in 3 different teacher groups.
This study used content analysis (CA), video case analysis (VCA) , and statistical analysis (SA) methods.
In this study,
diachronic[,daɪə'krɒnɪk]
reliability [rɪ,laɪə'bɪləti]
Validity [və'lɪdɪtɪ]
The fourth part is
I’ll talk about this topic form three aspects.
Firstly, the trend of the change of three teacher groups’ levels of reflection was shown in figure. Form the figure 1, we can see that:
Pink(粉色)line is the trend of the key teacher groups
Yellow line is the trend of the experienced teacher groups
Bulue line is the trend of the novice teacher group
grew [ɡruː]成长
Secondly, the result of the Correlation analysis on three teacher groups’ levels of reflection
correlation[,kɒrə'leɪʃ(ə)n; -rɪ-] analysis
Thirdly, the result of the Interaction among three teacher groups’ levels of reflection

This result tell us that the key teacher is the best tutor for the novice teacher, not the experience teacher.
