1. Theschoolhadnoofficeandthepupilsweresittingonthegroundtolearn.
But, since the coming of the MDGs we have seen a visible difference in
the school. The pupils now sit in a comfortable classroom to learn and are
happy with what they are experiencing. I want to thank the government
for deeming it right to create this classroom block for the pupils and we
say a big thank you.

2. Let me start by showing my appreciation to everyone involved that
contributed to making sure that these projects come to reality in Ndokwa
East Local Government Area. The impact of these projects in the LGA has
beenoneofgreatrelieftothedwellersinlocalcommunities.Wearealways
on track to ensure that the counterpart funds are truly paid from our part
and ensure that new projects are initiated and current ones sustained. I
want to say a huge thank you to the OSSAP-MDGs, the Presidency and the
Delta State Government for what they have done and also assure them
that the facilities on ground will be put to their best use.
- Hon.ChukwudiAjeh,SecretaryofLocalGovernment,NdokwaEastLGA
3. The challenges we faced here is quite peculiar to Delta State. We had
a shortage of a cold-chain store for a very long time. Also, we lacked
adequate personnel and had problems with logistics as well. The MDGs
equipment will help this PHC tremendously as all equipment in it is solar-
basedandthiswilltaketheburdenoffusconcerningtheissueofelectricity.
We thank the MDGs for coming to our aid, this is what we need.
- Dr.HenryOwhojedo,MedicalDirector,OtorUdu,UduLGA
4. The place where we are presently staying is being paid for by the
community. Now that the PHC Centre has been built by MDGs, it will
relieve them of the financial burden of paying for the place where we are
now. This PHC will help the community more especially the women of this
community, as they will not have to go far any longer to receive medical
attention.
- Mr.AndrewDokie,CommunitySecretary,Ujevwu,UduLGA
5. In the past, before MDGs mounted the perimeter fence, we usually
had issues of theft and consistent disturbance from hoodlums in this
community. However, since the completion of the fencing, we don’t
experience such anymore. I will say a big thank you to the President and
the MDGs Office, for making this a reality in this community.
- Mrs.StellaS.Arubi,Matron-InCharge,OwrhordePHC,UduLGA
6. Before the MDGs programme came into this primary health centre, the
services rendered here was very poor, as the accommodation we had
before was bad and people could not gain access to the facility because
of the poor state of the PHC. Unlike before, the new building can speak
for itself, Now the environment is very conducive and everyone is happy.
