  • 2. I’m guessing this picture can beused to illustrate some form of rootweathering. As you can see a largeroot of the tree has come out frombeneath, splitting the ground in twolevels (one is higher than the other).
  • 3. The picture on the top left is of a cementpole which rests within the stream. Thispole depicts rusting that has occurredovertime due to the stream’s salty water. This picture here also shows rusting of steel
  • 4. Here, there are different layers ofminerals and rocks. This can be seen aswater has dried up and left this partunder the bridge quite muddy.Sediments have been deposited allaround the area. Ripple marks and crossbedding can also be seen.
  • 5. I took this picture of the onlybridge we have here in Firebaugh.Its less than a mile long . The oldbridge was torn down andreplaced with this one only a fewdecades ago. It was better elevatedand structured to better improvetransportation across it. Due tohigh floods from the San JoaquinRiver, this bridge was madestronger and higher.
