1. Albert is living in a fraternity with 4 more students. Albert’s room is next to Luis's. Albert usually
cannot sleep very well because of the noise of Luis and his girlfriend having sex a couple of hours
each weekday. Albert has spent several weeks sleeping less than four hours a day and he has to
wake up early everyday to go to the university. Albert is studying Chemistry, and has fallen asleep
several times in class. But the worst part is that he has fallen asleep in the laboratory while doing
experiments... and he has already got into trouble because once, a mixture exploded on him! Albert
has told his friends about this and asked them what can he do in order to sleep a few more hours.
1. A conversation between all the people involved. Albert, Luis and his girlfriend in order to
talk about a solution.

3. Albert should suggest to his neighbor (Luis) to change his date’s schedule with his
girlfriend.

14. Albert should get Luis drunk every day so he doesn’t have enough energy by the time his
girlfriend comes to the dorm.
15. Collect money between Albert and the other floor neighbors to pay for a hotel room for Luis
and his girlfriend.
16. Suggest Luis to go and have sex in the house of his girlfriend
17. Albert should suggest Luis to change his classes schedule so he can have sex at a different
time.
18. Albert should give to Luis a book about “How to practice quiet sex. Zen Sex”. If it doesn’t
exist, he should write it!!!
19. Luis should put relaxing music so Albert doesn’t hear them.
20. Albert should ask one of his other neighbors to sleep on their room.
21. Albert should suggest to put into practice a “code of respect” or “rules for coexistence” in

22. Albert could go out and do some running before going to bed. So he is exhausted and
doesn’t mind the noise.
23. Albert should play porn movies with high volume on his TV so Luis gets the point.

26. Arrange a rotatory schedule for Albert’s room with his floor mates.

something to watch all nights instead of having sex.
47. Albert should design a capsule, which isolates sound and has specific characteristics to
practice sex. He can give that to Luis. Make a patent on it. And get rich selling it to other
people having the same problem.
48. Albert should offer to install in Luis’s room walls acoustic (insulating) foam.
49. Albert should buy a water fountain so the sound of water relaxes him.
