This document discusses next generation wikis, or Wiki 2.0. It begins with an agenda that includes defining Wiki 2.0, providing a demo, discussing the runtime development platform, and exploring the future. The presentation then defines Wiki 1.0 and 2.0, showing how 2.0 allows for custom layouts, views, metadata, structured content, and applications. A demo of XWiki is presented. The runtime development platform is discussed as being iterative, allowing online development and collaboration. The future of Wiki 2.0 and XWiki may include peer-to-peer wikis, real-time collaboration, annotations, mobile use, semantics, and IDE-like tools. Questions are taken at the end.
