Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) also 
known as motor neurone disease. 
Average survival time from onset to death 
is 39 months, and only 4% survive 50 
years or more. Currently affected by 
What is ALS? 
30,000 Americans.
ALS is only responsible for 
2 deaths per 100,000 deaths per year.
but… Malaria has been responsible for 
estimated, 
627,000 deaths in 2012. 
207million affected cases.
And Bill Gates has been 
advocating the awareness for 
Malaria for many years and has 
many videos, but 
#ICEBUCKETCHALLENGE has 
been more effective because the 
way the information is being spread
