Christian Behaviour
• We are called to be a
godly people who
think, feel, and act in

principles of heaven.
3. 3
Rom 12:1-2 KJV
• (1) I beseech you therefore,
brethren, by the mercies of God,
that ye present your bodies a
living sacrifice, holy, acceptable
unto God, which is your
reasonable service.
• (2) And be not conformed to this
world: but be ye transformed by
the renewing of your mind, that
ye may prove what is that good,
and acceptable, and perfect, will
of God.
4. 4
Christian Character
• For the Spirit to recreate in us the
character of our Lord we involve
ourselves only in those things
which will produce Christlike
purity, health, and joy in our lives.
• This means that our amusement
and entertainment should meet the
highest standards of Christian taste
and beauty. While recognizing
cultural differences, our dress is to
be simple, modest, and neat,
befitting those
5. 5
1Jn 2:6 KJV
• (6) He that saith he
abideth in him ought
himself also so to walk,
even as he walked.
6. 6
Christian Character
• While recognizing cultural
differences, our dress is to
be simple, modest, and neat,
befitting those whose true
beauty does not consist of
outward adornment but in
the imperishable ornament of
a gentle and quiet spirit.
• Read Ephesians 5: 1 -21
7. 7
1Co 6:19-20 ESV
• (19) Or do you not know that
your body is a temple of the
Holy Spirit within you, whom
you have from God? You are
not your own,
• (20) for you were bought with
a price. So glorify God in your
body.
8. 8
Christian Behaviour
• It also means that because our
bodies are the temples of the
Holy Spirit, we are to care for
them intelligently.
9. 9
Philippians 4:8 KJV
• (8) Finally, brethren, whatsoever
things are true, whatsoever things
are honest, whatsoever things are
just, whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good
report; if there be any virtue, and
if there be any praise, think on
these things.
10. 10
2Co 10:5 GNB
• (5) we pull down every proud
obstacle that is raised against
the knowledge of God; we take
every thought captive and
make it obey Christ.
• (This includes the idea of
evolution, even theistic
evolution.)
11. 11
1Pe 3:1-4 GNB
• (1) In the same way you
wives must submit
yourselves to your
husbands, so that if any of
them do not believe God's
word, your conduct will
win them over to believe. It
will not be necessary for
you to say a word,
• (2) because they will see
how pure and reverent
your conduct is.
12. 12
1Pe 3:1-4 GNB
• (3) You should not use
outward aids to make
yourselves beautiful, such as
the way you fix your hair, or
the jewelry you put on, or the
dresses you wear.
• (4) Instead, your beauty
should consist of your true
inner self, the ageless beauty
of a gentle and quiet spirit,
which is of the greatest value
in God's sight.
13. 13
Christian Behaviour
• Along with adequate
exercise and rest, we are
to adopt the most
healthful diet possible
and abstain from the
unclean foods identified
in the Scriptures.
• Read Leviticus 11: 1 - 47
14. 14
Christian Behaviour
• Since alcoholic beverages,
tobacco, and the irresponsible
use of drugs and narcotics are
harmful to our bodies, we are
to abstain from them as well.
15. 15
3Jn 1:2 ESV
• (2) Beloved, I pray that
all may go well with you
and that you may be in
good health, as it goes
well with your soul.
16. 16
Christian Behaviour
• Instead, we are to engage in
whatever brings our thoughts
and bodies into the discipline
of Christ, who desires our
wholesomeness, joy, and
goodness.
