- “Beyond commenting on ISEAL’s Codes of Good Practice. There is a broad range of opportunities for ISEAL members and subscribers to interact with each other in what we call the ISEAL Community. One way is through Communities of Practice in standard-setting, assurance and impacts, where individuals from their organisations can contribute to discussions relevant to the areas most relevant to their work. Sometimes around the ISEAL Codes but also beyond, exchanging knowledge on what works and doesn’t work in each others systems or sharing the experiences and expertise additional actors are able to offer having worked directly with standards and certification. Some topics may be identified to be taken to the next level in the form of issue based working groups and collaborative projects as outlined by Jason. A key precursor to these working relationships is networking and the ISEAL Community is a great place to identify like-minded organisations with shared objectives and a shared vision of success. ISEAL’s Annual Global Sustainability Standards Conference is an excellent networking opportunity, in addition to being a pivotal opportunity for awareness raising and engaging NGOs, businesses and companies in the work of standards.”
