2. IT ALL STARTED BETWEEN (1323 - 1341 BC )
A "Loincloth" was found in King Tut's tomb. The loincloth is in essence
a piece of material, bark-bast, leather or cloth, passed between the legs
covering the genitals. Despite this simpleness of function the loincloth
takes many forms and was used around the world.

CENTURY. PEOPLE NO LONGER HAD TO MAKE THEIR OWN UNDERWEAR.
FROM THAT POINT ON EVERYTHING CHANGED.
6. THE EARLY (1900'S ) SPAWNED COMPETITION AND THE FIRST UNDERWEAR
COMPANIES LIKE HANES, PEABODY AND JOCKEY WERE BORN.

IN THE US RAN IN THE
SATURDAY EVENING POST IN 1911.
THE FIRST PAIR OF BRIEFS WERE SOLD
IN CHICAGO BY COOPERS INC.
ON JANUARY 19,1935.
BY THE END OF THE 1910'S, CHALMERS KNITTING COMPANY SPLIT THE
UNION SUIT INTO UPPER J& LOWER SECTIONS, EFFECTIVELY
INVENTING THE MODERN UNDERSHIRTS AND DRAWER.
Emerging competition and new styles made advertising necessary.
7. BY THE LATE 19TH, EARLY 20TH CENTURY THE UNDERGARMENT
INDUSTRY WAS BOOMING AND INNOVATION HAS BEGUN.

8. IN THE 70'S, 80'S & 90'S IS WHEN UNDERWEAR AS FASHION MATURED AND
ADVERTISERS FORGOT ABOUT COMFORT AND DURABILITY AND FOCUSED ON
SEX APPEAL.
9. THIS WAS ALSO THE TIME LINGERIE WAS INTRODUCED.
Lingerie is a term for fashionable and possibly alluring undergarments. The term in the
French language applies to all undergarments for either gender. In English it is applied
specifically to those undergarments designed to be visually appealing or erotic.
10. IN THE LATE 90'S INTO THE NEW MILLENNIUM THE UNDERWEAR MARKET
