weaknesses (S and W) with those from an
analysis of external opportunities and threats (O
and T).

7. Visionary Organization
Vision is a statement about what an
organization ultimately wants to
accomplish; it captures the company’s
aspiration.
8. Mission Statements
Description of what an organization actually does – what its business
is – and why it does it; can be customer – oriented and product –
oriented.
Customer Oriented Mission – defines a business terms of providing
solutions to customer needs.
Product Oriented Missions – define a business in terms of a good or
service provided rather than in terms of the customer need to be
met.
