Schoolchildren across the UK are being invited to come up with ideas for food to be
served at Buckingham Palace to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
Unusual- it doesn’t happen very often,
Human interest- they are around my age having a unique opportunity,
Prominence- they are cooking and creating a menu for someone very important,
Proximity- it is about the leader of our country, who lives mostly in our city,
Currency- it is happening now, as our queen is celebrating her diamond jubilee
soon,

Impact- some people are very large fans of the queen.
ME- this is interesting to me as people who are around my age are making the
menu for something very important, that doesn’t happen very often, and its
about my country.

THIS cat barely paw-ses for a second as it whacks alligator on the nose.
Prominence- cats are a very popular pets, and alligators are very well known animals,
Proximity- they are not close as its from the us,
Currency- it is a new story but I do not know when the video was made,
Conflict- it is a cat fighting a alligator,
Impact- it will bring attention and make readers laugh,
Human interest- there are humans witnessing it making fun of the original fight,
Unusual- probably no one has seen a cat fight a alligator,
ME- I am interested in this story as you never see two completely different animals
fighting over chicken, even though it is in another continent it still is interesting and
new.
