3. King charles
• Charles Costa was born on the 6th of may 1985 in west London.
• Charles plays the guitar, piano and cello and is a classically trained singer.
• After studying sociology at Durham University Charles came back to London and created
the name “King Charles” and the band “Adventure Playground”.
• He and his band toured with people such like “Laura Marling” and “Noah and the
whale”.
• In 2008 “Adventure Playground” separated and he
started to write and record his debut album.
• At this time he had a skiing accident almost killing
him.
• While recovering in hospital King Charles became
the first Brit to ever win the International
Songwriting Competition with the pre-recorded
song “BAM BAM”
• As a result he was singed onto Universal Republic/
Island His reaction to the win was “This is the first
small step in the giant leap towards being the first
band on the moon.”
• He later finished recording his album “LoveBlood”
which was released on the 8th of may 2012.

Stephanie was born on the 18th of November 1997 and is currently 15 years old. She
lives in a semi detached house in Ashford, where she lives with her 17 year old
brother, mother and father. Her mother, who is a teacher, is from St Lucia and her
father, who is an electrician, is from England. When Stephanie is not at school she
works at a small coffee shop as a waitress. She likes to be on her phone to stay in
contact with friends, however she does not usually watch T.V. Or go on her laptop
as she likes to stay active. While
completing exercise, Stephanie enjoys
to listen to her rock/indie music. As
well as music and exercise, she also
likes: fashion, art and trying new
multi-cultural food.
6. How their image
has changed
In 2008, when king charles first appeared, he wore
quirky modern versions of royal Georgian attire.
This has now changed to random outfits that suit
his character. By choosing the name “King
Charles”, he has created an image of partying and
having fun. This is because the real King Charles
brought back everything fun after a time of strict
rules and bore.
Because King Charles has only been around for 5
years, his image has not dramatically changed.
However one thing that is a noticeable change is
his seriousness towards his music. This has
increased through the years and may be because
he now has understood that the business is
serious and not a joke anymore.
