2. LOVE & HIP HOP ATLANTA SEASON 2 WORST
AND BEST DRESSED
Season 2 of VH1‟s hit reality TV show, Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta, came with the addition of new cast members, major drama, and
even scandal. With everything that happened this season, some of the leading ladies maintained their fashion game while our
fell by the waist-side. 4UMF has the Worst and Best Dressed of season 2.
We love Momma Dee‟s eccentric personality but Scrappy needs to hire a wardrobe stylist for
his mom. She could definitely use help in finding proper fitting garments and choosing better
colored clothing for her skin tone.
3. MICHAEL JORDAN ALLEGED BABY MAMA FINED
Michael Jordan‟s alleged baby mama lied about the NBA star
fathering her child in a desperate attempt to cash in on his fame.
Pamela Smith filed a paternity suit against Jordan, claiming he was
the father of her 17-year-old kid. She demanded a DNA test, full
custody and child support.
On July 19th, the judge says Pamela failed to mention that paternity
was established back in 2003 and Jordan was not the father.
The judge called Pamela‟s bogus claim one big publicity stunt,
pointing out she hired a publicist before even getting a lawyer. The
judge ordered Pamela to pay Jordan‟s legal bills of $9,704.13.
4. CIARA PERFORMS AT LAS VEGAS POOL PARTY
Ciara made her merry way to Las Vegas on Friday, arriving at the Las Vegas
Palms Pool & Dayclub to throw a party in honour of her brand new album,
„Ciara‟.
Putting choreography on the back burner to serve a vocal driven set, the
Grammy winning performer put her best foot forward with a medley of her
most celebrated hits- including her latest…‟I‟m Out„.
5. LIL SCRAPPY LIED ABOUT ERICA SLEEPING
WITH MARRIED MAN
Lil Scrappy recently sat down with VLADTV and confessed to to lying on baby
mama Erica. He stated the following:
“It got a little heated and you know Erica said some things about me that
was kinda negative and wasn‟t right. So you know, I was just acting out in
the heat of things you know what I‟m saying? Just going HAM, just going
cold f-cking turkey. Not that it was right for her to say anything, but it wasn‟t
right for me to answer back with that. She wasn‟t never messing with no
married guy and I know she was never pregnant by nobody. I would have
been stopped messing with her. For real, like it would have never gone this
long. I would have been said something you feel me? But um, I just want to
tone that down because that is a lie.”
6. WALE BRINGS OUT CHRIS BROWN AT SUNSET
STRIP FESTIVAL
Wale shut down the Sunset Strip as part of the Sunset Strip Music Festival in West
Hollywood on Saturday. The MMG MC brought his hits including “Bad” and
“LoveHate Thing” to the East Stage as fans filled the street. During his 9 o‟clock set,
Chris Brown made a surprise appearance, dancing onstage as Wale performed
“Slight Work.”
In addition to Wale, the lineup included Linkin Park, Asher Roth, Logic, and Slick Rick
and Doug E. Fresh.
Wale and Breezy kept the party going at Playhouse, where they met up with Jermaine
Dupri and Iggy Azalea.
7. COLLEGE PLAYERS ALLOWED TO SUE EA
SPORTS
The lawyers for EA Sports did everything they could to convince a judge that their
NCAA sports franchise games were works of art and therefore should be protected
by the 1st amendment. But in the end a California judge ruled in favor of the players
allowing them to continue with their class action lawsuit against the company for
unfairly using their likenesses without paying them.
EA argued that the avatars used in their basketball and football games did not
specifically represent individual players, but the judge disagreed. This ruling can
open the flood gates. A few weeks ago NCAA announced that it will not renew its
contract with the game maker, and one has to believe it was because they saw this
very thing coming.
This was a huge ruling in favor of the suit against EA by former college quarterback
Sam Keller which has been combined as a class action suit with the Ed O‟Bannon
suit against the NCAA. Please believe these two major corporations are ready to go
to war as these lawsuit stand the threaten millions in profits for their corporations.
EA has already filed an appeal.
8. PROOF THAT LIL SCRAPPY AND BASKETBALL
WIVES LA BAMBI ARE AN ITEM
When Kirk Frost‟s onetime Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta sidepiece Mary Jane put her former
“friend” Bambi on blast for allegedly hooking up with Lil Scrappy, most of us wrote it off as another
angry bird running off at the mouth, but now it appears there‟s truth to MJ‟s squawking.
In a recent interview with VLAD TV, Scrappy, who insists he and his baby mama andLove & Hip-Hop:
Atlanta co-star Erica Dixon are done, revealed that Bambi came to visit him a few times during his 30-
day rehab stint for marijuana addiction in June, but the more blatant clues of the duo‟s romance can
be found on their Instagram pages.
As far back as last September when Scrappy was suppose to be engaged to Erica, a picture of him
canoodlingwith Bambi popped up on IG, and it immediately got people talking. Of course the ”Money
in the Bank” rapper denied the rumors via one of his Twitter pages (@lilscrappylive), but now he‟s free
and clear to take up with Bambi…and spend his money on her (we all know how much she loves
receivinggifts from men).
9. AARON HERNANDEZ UNCLE KILLED
More bad news for Aaron Hernandez. Sources told Eyewitness News that
Aaron Hernandez‟s uncle was killed after a Moped crash in Bristol early
Saturday morning.
Officers were called to the intersection of Central Street and Church Avenue
around 1 a.m. where they found a man, who was later identified as 49-year-
old Robert Valentine of Bristol, suffering from a life-threatening head injury.
Valentine was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
10. APPLE PRODUCT BAN OVERTURNED BY US
A ban on sales of older models of Apple‟s iPad and iPhone in the US has been overturned by the Obama
administration.
In June, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) ruled that Apple infringed a patent of rival Samsung.
President Barack Obama‟s trade representative has now vetoed that decision because of its “effect on competitive
conditions in the US economy“.
Such a veto is a relatively rare event.
The patent related to 3G wireless technology and the ability to transmit multiple services correctly and at the same
time. The ITC ordered a halt on all imports and sales on AT&T-sold models of the iPhone 4, iPhone 3, iPhone 3GS as
well as the iPad 3G and iPad 2 3G. Some of those devices are no longer on sale in the US.
Such patents are called “standard essential patents” and they cover technology that must be used to comply with
standards set by the industry as a whole.
Import-ban orders from the ITC are subject to review by Mr Obama, and he had 60 days to veto the decision.
His trade representative, Michael Froman, said that the administration was concerned about the use of essential
patents in litigation.
Apple welcomed the news and applauded Mr Obama “for standing up for innovation”. It added: “Samsung was wrong
to abuse the patent system in this way.”
Korea‟s Samsung responded: “The ITC‟s decision correctly recognised that Samsung has been negotiating in good
faith and that Apple remains unwilling to take a licence.”
Apple and Samsung are in the midst of a global patent war. Last year, a court ruled that Samsung owed Apple $1bn
in damages for infringing Apple patents, an award that was later slashed to $598.9m.
An appeal in that case is due to be heard soon.
11. JENNIFER ANISTON GOES AU NATUREL
JENNIFER Aniston„s fans are impressed with a photo that shows the 44-year-old
actress without any makeup.
The snap, posted to Instagram by Aniston‟s longtime hair stylist, Chris McMillan, was
captioned: “Best #friends #no makeup #girl-time.”
The image has received thousands of “likes” and a string of positive comments
about the former Friends star‟s natural beauty.
Aniston‟s looks also made headlines last week, when a small stomach bulge
sparked rumours the 44-year-old may be pregnant.
Recent reports suggest Aniston has had fertility treatment after being engaged to
actor Justin Theroux for almost a year.
