Official presentation of the new-formed business zone and industrial park in the Municipality of Ub, Serbia, located by the Belgrade - South Adria highway.
2. GEOGRAPHY
Municipality of Ub is located in West Serbia. It is
administrative part of Kolubara District, but is
influenced by macroregional center of Belgrade.
Bordering municipalities are Obrenovac, Lajkovac,
Valjevo, Koceljeva, Vladimirci i Lazarevac.
International airport “Nikola Tesla” Belgrade is just
55km away from the center of Ub City. Modern and
recently reconstructed road leads to it.
Port “Šabac” on Sava river and free trade and custom
zone is located 50 km or 1 hour drive from Ub.
Railroad Belgrade – Bar is 6 km away from the center
of Ub. Industrial railway is passing through the
municipality and leads form coal mine to the power plant
in Obrenovac.
Belgrade – South Adria Highway is passing through
the municipality. 25 km is its lenght.
3. NATURAL RESOURCES
Municipality has significant reserves of non-metallic
minerals (quartz sand in the estimated amount of
16.5 million tons; the estimated amount of clay of 3.8
million tons; limestone), to a lesser extent metallic
minerals as raw materials and energy, and bearing
lignite Kolubara basin. A number of sites are
exploited, a lot of them are in the process of
exploring the exploitation possibilities.
Mining Company “Kolubara” plans to open new
mining field “Radljevo” in 2014. Coal reserves at the
field are estimated at 330 million tons.
Exploitation of the field “Radljevo” will be performed
in accordance with the supplying needs of power
plant “Nikola Tesla A and B”, “Kolubara A” and TPP
“Kolubara B”, whose construction is widely
expected.
A significant resource of the municipality is the
lignite field “Zvizdar”. Research work in this field is
ongoing, and estimates of coal reserves are 280
million tons.
4. BUSINESS ZONE

6. BENEFITS FOR INVESTORS
