This document outlines the structure and requirements for the G325: Critical Perspectives exam. The exam consists of two sections: Section A involves a reflective evaluation of skill development and a concept analysis of media projects. Section B requires answering two questions about contemporary media issues focusing on at least two media forms and discussing the past, present and future. Students are advised to learn the exam rules, take practice exams, and carefully listen to examiner advice as the exam is very challenging and competition is intense. Extensive preparation from January through May is recommended to do well.

Section B – Contemporary Media Issues Postmodern Media – film / TV / video games Choice of 2 questions Answer 1 only 1 hour to write answer – at least 4 sides Answers must focus on at least 2 media Answers must refer to the past, the present and predict for the future

G325: Critical perspectives This is a very hard exam - ‘Stretch and Challenge’ Be exam smart – learn the rules, play the game Exams are a giant competition – you are ‘playing’ 13000 other students Wolverhampton is the rump of the educational world – being one of the best here is nowhere near good enough Listen carefully to the Senior Examiner in the room – many students got As and Bs in this unit last year – this was no accident
