3. Technique of the author
TECHNIQUE is the author’s strategy in his
writing. It differs from author to author and depends upon
one’s syntax, word choice, and tone. There are four basic
literary styles used in writing. The styles distinguish the work
of different authors from one another.
4. Technique of the author
the author gives justification
and reasons to let the readers
believed what he/ she wrote.
The purpose is to persuade the
readers.

6. Example: persuasive
Today as we can see there is a revolutionary
evolvement of technology that, if it is abuse, can hamper
the lives of the young children. It is evident that technology
almost replaced and dominated our lives. Accordingly, the
issue about whether the ability to read and write is more
important today may attract our attentions. It is clear that
classified views have converged into two: some think
reading and writing ability is more important today than in
the past, while others deny its importance. As I see it, I
strongly believed with the former view and my choice is
based on the following reasons.
7. Example: persuasive
The main reason which may win the support of
the people is that, if a person is lack of reading and
writing ability, he/she could be considered as
illiterate who will be deprived most of the basic
right of human being in the 21st century. It is very
difficult for us, knowing someone, if a person can’t
read and write especially in this pandemic era. Now
a day’s finding a job is hard to search for, despite
being a graduate of a certain course lots of them
are still jobless. How much more if someone is
illiterate?
8. Example: persuasive
The second reason is, in this pandemic time, all of us
are struggling, especially in our system; we need to adjust
in communicating through emails, video calls, text, phone
calls or any form of social media for communication or
even information purposes. How could it be done if many
of them are illiterate? Indeed, it is absolutely impossible.
Reading and writing must go hand in hand that in this
world every single alphabet should be recognized in our
eyes. Wherever we may go, whatever we may do reading
and writing are absolutely inseparable.
12. Example: narrative
In my solitude, I decided to go into a place where I can find
tranquility amidst the chaotic life in the city. I prefer to settle down
in a certain beach. I have with me my tent, my basket with bunch of
foods and my bag with clothes. When I sat down on the seashore, I
opened my bag to take out first, my small blanket which serves as
my placemat, which I can place the needed things or even foods on
it. Next, I take out my lunch; I took some foods like fried rice,
chicken adobo and macaroni soup. Inside my bag there is a Home
mate’s collection container for my water. As I looked around there
were some tourist also in the place but far where I sat down. As I
ponder God is so great that he showed love and mercy in every
human being He made. I enjoyed my day out with memories to keep.
14. Technique of the author
a style in which the author

opinion about the topic.

This afternoon at 3pm, a motorcycle collided with
an SUV at the intersection of Apokon and
Suaybaguio streets. There were no injuries on the
SUV driver and the passengers, but medical
personnel performed checks on each passengers
and the driver before they were transported to their
offices. The driver of the motorcycle sustained
slight, non-life-threatening injuries. He was
transported to the Regional Hospital, the nearest in
town. The accident is still under investigation at
this time.

The park is the best place for me to relax on. The
breeze of the air is so cool and fresh. There were
lots of green trees around, surrounded with
varieties of flowering plants. The weather in that
day is cooperative since the sky is blue. I felt relax
and in one with the nature. The grasses were
trimmed perfect for my bear foot on it. Only few
people are in the place, I really love the beauty of
God’s creation.
