New Core Banking System is Live
8th July, 2008: The New Core Banking System – Flex cube has been launched successfully in all
Branches and offices of Dubai Islamic Bank last Saturday as part of the new core banking system
development project which has started 20 months ago.
Khalid Al Kamda has saluted the entire project team who worked hard in the past 20 months in
developing and implementing this new crucial core banking system and said “we are happy for
launching our new core system which is another milestone towards our 2010 vision”, “I would like
to thank all DIB employees specially the team behind the project for their fantastic efforts in
making this launch a success and I’m sure it will reflect in the way we serve our customers”
There were minimal reports from employees, especially in the retail branches, of any disruption
services or in processing any types of transaction. Business in branches was reported to be
normal as usual.
Ibrahim Iqbal, head of projects said, ‘Our job doesn’t ends here, this is one of the landmark
where we have reached, we have to work extremely hard to embed the positive impact of core
banking system effectively within Dubai Islamic Bank and all its stakeholders’.
