WOLFPACK GETS SKINNED!!!
IT WAS OVER AS SOON AS THE “FAT MAN” SANG!
BRAVES GET NASTY, DESTROY THE WOLFPACK 41-0!
Before the Claremont Wolfpack could get comfortable, the Braves made it uncomfortable. The de-
fense continued to play tough and handed out their second shutout. Esteban “Mamba” Rodriguez
got his starting debut on defense and did very well. Other defensive standouts were, Adam “Bomb”
Polanco who had a “scoop & score” for a 40 yard touchdown, Angel Ramirez who had a 70 yard
“pick six” and Seth Cloud, George “Ricky Bobby” Daniels and Nicky Delgadillo dominated with
RAMIREZ their aggressive play. Offensively, Rio’s Pizza “Player of the Game” RB Angel “Roadrunner” Rami-
rez was at it again, with two big runs, while Adam “Bomb” connected with Seth “Get off of my”
Cloud for a 40 yard touchdown and Lance Babb contributed with a touchdown run of his own.
“Bueno” had two, 2-point conversion kicks in the game. “As the offensive line headed up by Victor
“Smiley” Garcia gets stronger, the offense will be ready for whoever the conference brings our
way,” says Head Coach Ramon “Monie” Soliz. Next up the Cowboys on Sunday at 10:00 a.m.

SCOUTS STRAP A SADDLE ON CORTEZ & RIDE TO VICTORY,48-13!
The Scouts strapped a saddle on Rio’s Pizza “Player of the Game” RB Alex “Count” Cortez and
rode the “workhorse” to victory after RB Steven Loera was injured in the first half. Cortez was
dominant on the offensive side of the ball with 10 carries for 252 yards and 4 touchdowns, he
added a 20 yard touchdown reception from QB Paul Garcia. He was a primary catalyst on the de-
fensive side as well. Isaiah De La Cruz and Steven Loera also had touchdowns in the first half. “I
want to give praise to the “Green” offensive line because we score every time our “Green” offense CORTEZ
has had possessions,” says Head Coach Armando Valencia. The “Green” line consists of Isaac
Cruz, Adrian Acosta, Arianna “Ice Box” Araiza, Derrick Galvez and Steven Barraza. “This game
was a “trap game” for us, we’re coming off an emotional victory versus previously unbeaten La
Puente and looking forward to the Citrus League Championship game this Sunday versus a 5-1 well
coached team in the Walnut/DB Cowboys. Our kids did a good job staying focused on Claremont GALVEZ, ARAIZA,
who has tremendous individual athletes.” Scouts at Diamond Bar, Sunday at 8:00 a.m., Yes A.M. ACOSTA, BARRAZA,

WARRIORS VICTORIOUS VERSUS WOLFPACK, 6-0!
“DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE, we are the defending Conference runner-ups for a reason! The
Wolfpack came caravanning into GRP Sunday morning hand in hand with a 5-0 record and in most
eyes around the league, were favored versus our Warriors, after all, they had beaten mighty West
Covina in Week #1 and proven to be a powerhouse. However, someone forgot to tell our team.
The game was a battle all day, starting during warm-ups as the WP coaches shouted out to our team
“we’re not Hacienda Heights,” and as they soon found out, we’re NOT West Covina!” exclaims
WINDHORST Head Coach Steven Rivas. Both teams fumbled the ball on their opening drives, but it would be the
Warriors who would make the first defensive stop and take the ball on their next possession down-
field and get in the end zone on a 6 yard touchdown run by Offensive “Player of the Game” Steven
Castro. The score would prove to be the only one of the day and it was all they would need. The
defense held tough, led by Defensive and Rio’s Pizza “Player of the Game” Matthew Windhorst,”
shutting out the “juggernaut” of an offense that averaged 20+ points a game. Claremont had an op-
portunity to score, but on 4th and goal, as #10 dove for the goal line, he was met by FS Mike Vital
CASTRO
who stuffed the play ending the Wolfpack’s hopes. Cowboys are next on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
2. “GREEN” GOES WILD ON WOLFPACK!”
The Running Bears “Green” did a thorough job of destroying the Wolfpack on Sunday with Offen-
sive “Player of the Game” QB Nathan Castro throwing for four touchdowns, two to Isaac Mora
and one to Jesse Preciado who had his first touchdown catch of the season in the back of the end
zone. Adrian Rios also scored his first touchdown of the season on a 50 yard reverse. Defensive RIOS
“Player of the Game” Isaac Mora pulled six flags and had a “pick six.” Sahir Arreola was a monster
on the defensive line all day and recorded two sacks. “As you can tell, this was a total team effort on
Sunday,” says Head Coach Max Mora. Next are the DB Cowboys “Blue”, Sunday at 10:30.

“BLACK” MOUNTS A GROUND ASSAULT ON WOLFPACK!
The Running Bears “Black” team worked as a single unit in dismantling the Claremont Wolfpack
“Maroon” this past weekend. The ferocious and relentless ground attack led by Daniel Lopez who
rushed for three touchdowns along with George Rodriguez, Zack Garcia and Manuel Herrera who
also scored. The defense was stout and stingy as it was led by Sergio Carcamo who had two inter-
ceptions paving the way to the end of the Wolfpack’s passing game. The “Black” team will face the
Diamond Bar “Gray” on Sunday at 9:00 a.m.

INDIANS SHOW NO WEAKNESS, SKIN WOLFPACK 34-0!
Once again the Indians showed no signs of weakness or slowing down. The Indians were led by
Rio’s Pizza and Defensive “Player of the Game” Edward Zamora. Head Coach Julio Baez says;
“Silent, but deadly” Zamora has made improvements beyond our greatest expectations. This is his
very first time playing football and struggled heavily at the beginning of conditioning only to find a
home anchoring the D-Line on a stubborn defense.” The Offensive “Player of the Game” is
Manuel Hernandez. “Hernandez is an outstanding young man, he is very respectful, dedicated and a
hard worker. He has the respect of all his teammates as well as that of the coaches. He is a very in- ZAMORA
tense competitor and a key to the Indians’ success this season...A true Indian!, says Baez. Let’s not
forget that there are many aspects to the team’s success, not the least of which is the coaching staff.
Coach Baez has been much maligned in the past, he and much of his squad have endured through
some grim seasons. Now, they are reaping the rewards of perseverance, hard work, commitment
and dedication to the Indians. They are having a great season that is nowhere near it’s end. Next up
a Citrus League showdown with the Cowboys on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. Cowboys and Indians...It’s
payback time! HERNANDEZ
