3. Foreshadowing
• Introduces and develops the
conflict and describes events that
lead to the high point of suspense
or the climax. Conflicts: man vs
man, man vs circumstances, man
vs himself (internal conflict), man
vs society.
Climax
• This is the “do or die” event that
makes the turning point of the
story.
Outcome
• Brings the story to a close with the
outcome which can be the
resolution of the conflict or
situation.
