The Sziget Festival is an annual open-air music festival held on Óbuda Island in Budapest, Hungary. It attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year from around the world. Partnership The best known European brand and the best known Hungarian brand have entered a partnership to develop and introduce mobile payment, machine-to-machine mobile communications and mobile administrative services. It was a logical step on Vodafone’s part as the company has always put great emphasis on supporting, as well as sports, festivals and concerts popular among young people. The Vodafone Sziget program will be launched on Virtual Sziget in several languages. At the same time a number of services aimed specifically at Vodafone customers will also be introduced, for example they can buy one day tickets on their mobiles, or even pay for certain products with their phone, first off coffee. Then, everything is done by the main sponsor to make the experience more convenient for festival goers.

19. Tickets policy A very good tickets policy is launch, notamment mis en place with the partner Vodafone. First of all the minute based mobile ticket system – which had already worked very successfully in the parking lot. The festival goer can activate and then deactivate the system using his mobile, paying only for time spent at the festival ; hence if someone only wants to watch their favourite band, he is only paying for that one concert. Festival visitors will not even have to worry about the clock ticking whilst queuing at the entrance, as the organisers are providing a fast-track gate for mobile ticket holders. Discounts introduced last year will remain in place this year : students can come to Sziget half price with group tickets, and late party goers can enter the festival half price after 11 p.m.

21. A citizenevent The Festival’sorganizers have been maintaining a very good relationshipwith the different ”green” organizations for years. Today, ZöldUdvar (Green Courtyard) has become a littletownwithin the Festival, wheredifferentenviromentalist groups, over100 civil organizationscanintroducethemselves and provide services. Besides the national green organizations, the international Green Peace has been presentat the Festival for years. The mutual efforts of the organizers and the environmentalistleaguesprovethatSziget Festival fulfills a pioneer and keyrole, a leadingrole in sustainableenvironment.
22. Environment This one week program isthe perfectoccassion to implant to people’sminds, 400000 visitorsat least, , the enviroment-consciousway of thinking. A projectcalled "CleanerSziget – Festival in an environment-consciousiscreated. Withthis initiative a processstarted the selective collection, transporting recycling of wastematerialsaccumulatingduring the time of the festival. Sponsors have realised the importance of the selectivetreatment of wastematerials. There has been an action plan for yearsnow, whichishighlysuccessful and aimsatinspiringvisitors to collect the throw-away plastic cups.
