Installing Components <ul><li>ADT Plugin for Eclipse </li></ul><ul><ul><li>A Plugin for Eclipse IDE that is designed to you a powerful environment to build Android Apps </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>http://developer.android.com/sdk/eclipse-adt.html#installing </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Open “Eclipse” and create a “Workspace” </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Download the plugin inside “Eclipse” -> “Help” -> “Install New Software” </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>You may encounter Firewall issues </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>If you encounter Network problems – do a local install and then add it to the repository </li></ul></ul></ul>

Sample project <ul><li>http://developer.android.com/resources/tutorials/hello-world.html </li></ul><ul><li>Open Eclipse (if Win7 – Make sure you are an Administrator) </li></ul><ul><li>Either use the same “ WorkSpace ” or create a new one </li></ul><ul><li>Go to “File” -> “New” -> “Android Project” Build the Project that you just created </li></ul><ul><li>Run the Project on the Emulator </li></ul><ul><ul><li>NOTE : Emulator might be slow – be patient </li></ul></ul>
