Editor's Notes
Being an accountant has always been an interest of mine. I like to work with numbers and I am pretty good at Math. Akron University, Kent State University, and Ohio University all have excellent academic backgrounds. These schools would allow me to pursue this career. Also these schools are not far from home and I have always wanted to stay in Ohio to go to college.
Kent State is an underrated school in Ohio. The main campus is located in a town but it has over 20 campuses in the state. A lot of students in the school are in-state students. The school is not very expensive. They have a lot of sports teams that compete in the NCAA. Most people know the school from the Kent State shootings.
Ive been to the school and it’s a really nice campus. The school is not huge but it is excellent academically. They offer many degrees in a lot of different careers. The college is basically in a city and some of the dorm rooms are even in a hotel. The sports teams are not that bad, but their soccer team is excellent. The tuition for the school is not that expensive either, and it is not hard to get into.
They have a lot of degrees to choose from. A lot of students enroll in the school but most of them are in-state. The school is not impossible to get into and it is also not that expensive. There is a very lively campus with lots of people getting involved in sororities and fraternities. Their sports are not the best but they do compete in the NCAA.
From the categories I chose to compare the school Akron seems to be the number one school for me to attend. It placed first in most of the categories I chose.
Akron from the criteria I chose is obviously the best choice for a college for me. A trade-off is not living on campus. I may not live on campus and that could lead to me not meeting new people or getting the full college experience. Also it may not be the best college for the major of my choice which could lead to trouble getting a job. Some Opportunity costs may be even though im not getting the best education im still getting one which will lead to a successful future. Financial aid is a huge incentive and trade-off. It provides a reason to go to college at the time, but the only down side is I will have to pay back student loans.
