1. Week of December 9
Dear Friends,
WINTER DRESS
When we have snow it will be up to you if you want to send your child in boots. You will enter the building from
the parking lot and should not have snow to trudge through as our parking lot will be plowed. If you send your
child in boots, please mark your child’s boots with his/her name so he/she will be able to find them and make sure
they are easy enough for them to put on themselves. They do not need to wear snow pants since we do not go
outside to play (unless you are in our full-time program). Please work with your child so they can dress and
undress themselves. It takes a little longer initially and the tendency for us as parents is to just do it ourselves
because it is faster. But as we send them to school they need to be confident in their abilities to take care of
themselves.
NOTE - BAD WEATHER: If you are ever in doubt as to whether or not we have school, watch Fox11 News.
We follow the public school’s decision on closing due to bad weather. If school is cancelled for the Green Bay
Public schools our preschool classes will also be cancelled. If there is a 2 hour delay we will follow a 2 hour delay
with classes starting at 10:30 for those children in our full day program. If you are in our morning programs
there will be no preschool on 2 hour delays. Feel free to call the church office at 468-4065 or your child’s
teacher (264-6147) if you have any questions.
-- For always sending your child’s school bag to school with him/her and also for checking it daily.
You just never know what might be in there.
-- Remembering to send a nutritious snack to school when it’s your child’s turn to be snack helper.
-- Keeping your child home when he/she is sick. We know how much they want to come to school, but
for the other children’s health we sure appreciate this. Also, if your child has a very bad cough, please
keep them home.
