Access statistics
Currently openTrends is working jointly with the Catalan Government to
continue providing new services for gencat.mobi, all of them of interest to
the general public. The most representative examples are:
Meteocat: Current weather information and detailed meteorological
forecasts for all the Catalan municipalities, sea conditions along the coast
and information about weather conditions in mountains.
Mou-te: openTrends is developing a newer version of this service. Once
implemented, it will allow users to consult and plan their travel
arrangements within the territory, using all existing public transport data.
gencat.mobi and the associate services are developed using openFrame |
mobile Web framework. It allows the development of a single application,
that dynamically and automatically adapts UI to each client device,
maximizing the user experience with the portal.
Without compromising other advanced capabilities, like GPS or rich user
interfaces, openFrame | mobile Web resembles the appearence and
functionality of a native application.
gencat.mobi is, in addition, a great example of integrating data services
for mobile solutions, gathering and accessing data from a variety of different
sources (Web Services, RSS, CMS, etc.)
