FIRST SCRAPS SNEAK PEEK: NAPOLES DENNIS CUNANAN AND JENNY JEANE
The following is a sneak peek for our FIRST SCRAPS features, additional
material to supplement the release of Napoles Dennis Cunanan’s project
Scrapbook for Home. This is an excerpt from a short story co-written by
Dennis and his cousin Jeanina, a musician who goes by the alias of Jenny
Jeane. Both Dennis and Jenny hail from Manila, and love writing stories
about the city.

Cursed fate (Manila)
Coast Guard reported the regretful posthumous appearance of a gigantic
whale shark, or butanding in Filipino, straddling the murky brown waters of
Manila Bay. Fishermen were alerted by an unusual outline being cast
against the bright orange sunset, an outline that did not belong to the flat

3. contribute to the project (which will include works from the genres of fiction,
poetry, creative nonfiction, multimedia artwork, and photography).
Past the editorial stage of Scrapbook for Home, after we started accepting
and compiling works for publication, we began the development of extra
materials, or ‘goodies’, to be viewed online or to be purchased separately,
and these will hopefully include everything from a Youtube channel to a
DVD of our best montages from the authors in .mp4 format. A second wave
of your contributions, which we accept as both hard and soft copies, and
from the genres of fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, multimedia artwork,
and photography, is currently being facilitated by the staff, so please look
forward to all of these exciting releases!]
