2. We often use the following word groups along with “Go” to talk
about the changes in people’s personality, appearance and physical
ability
Go mad/blind/crazy/deaf
The audience went mad when Sri S.P. Balasubramanyam appeared on
the stage.
I would go crazy when ever I see my best friend.
Generally mothers go blind and do not notice any bad in their
children’s actions.
When ever I talk any thing against my brother’s wishes, he goes
deaf.
3. “go astray” is often used figuratively.
My car keys went astray again. (get lost or misplaced)
Some times well planned actions also go astray. (go wrong)
“go fishing” means do not know what is going on.
Listening a sudden noise from the conference hall, I went fishing.
“go missing” – to disappear or become lost
My car keys have gone missing again.
“go out of business” – to stop trading or to close down
S Kumars went out of business because of recession.
4. “go bananas” - to go mildly crazy
“go on foot”
“go in the front of the line” - give first priority to
“go on line”
Sorry! I just went bananas for a minute
My house is very close to school. So I go on foot.
Education should go in the front of the line of the basic requirements.
Now a days for every information, we go on line.
