  2. 2. Life Cycle of a Chicken <ul><li>The life cycle of a chicken begins with an egg. A chick will be </li></ul><ul><li>developed in the egg. After 21 days, the chick will come out of the egg. The chick will develop into a hen or a rooster. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Stages in its Life Cycle <ul><li>First stage: The hen will lay an egg. </li></ul><ul><li>Second stage: The egg will develop into a chick. </li></ul><ul><li>Third stage: The chick will grow into a chicken. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Hatching Eggs <ul><li>If the egg is laid by a hen that did not mate, the ovum will not develop. The egg has to be fertile in order to develop to be a chick. The living part of the egg is the ovum. </li></ul>
