ecosystem and species, about one percent of the land 
is protect and reserv. 
 Climate: In Russia the climate is varied because 
Russia is so big and that affects the climate, in 
summer it has a dry hot and in winter it can be -30c 
 Elevation extremes: lowest point: Caspian Sea -28 m 
highest point: Gora El'brus 5,633 m (highest point in Europe)
People: 
 Population: The official population in 2012 in 
Russia is of 142,946,800. 
 Indigenous people:Yaoun Yakh, the native 
community association of the indigenous Khanty 
people live in Iugan River in western Siberia. 
 Language:Russian was the sole official language 
of the Russian Empire which existed until 1917.

The history of Russia begins with that of the

the foundations for today’s Slavic nations . 
Finn-Ugrig: Is a traditional grouping of all languages in the Uralic 
language family except the Samoyedic languages. It is talk in 
Eastern, Central and Northern Europe, North Asia .
Wild life 
 Russia contains the planet's largest expanse of 
forest, over eight million square kilometers of 
mixed woodlands that are home to rare 
carnivores such as tigers, bears and leopards.
