• R.C.CHENNAI EAST R.A.PURAM:
Supplied 1000 Cooking and dinner kits in 11coastal villages in Myiladuthurai.
And about 2.5 tones of potable water was sent in container to Andamans by
ship as relief measure.
• R.C.MADRAS ASHOKNAGAR:
Contributed Rs.2.5 lakhs to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, Rs.40,000 to
Nagapatinam victims and Rs.1 lakh to Rotary Club of Kandy, Srilanka.
Provided shelter to 1000s of victims for a week in a Wedding Hall. Also
provided a Wedding to be used as temporary Relief Material Warehouse.

• R.C.MADRAS CHENNAPATNA:
Has sent truck loads of potable water, food, biscuits, bread, jam,
pickles, medicines, toothpaste, syringes, clothes, utensils worth about
27 lakhs to various villages in Cuddalore, Karaikal.
Have set up a 24 hr help-line with the help of NASCOM & AIRTEL.
Many members of this club visited the places & coordinated relief
measures & disposal of bodies.
• R.C.MADRAS INDUSTRIAL CITY:
Contribute Rs.50,000 to district's relief operation.
• R.C. MADRAS PORUR:
Provided transport required at the day of disaster. Provided large
warehouse for keeping Relief material at Adyar.

• R.C.MADRAS TEMPLE CITY
Donated Rs.10,000 for relief measure at Nagapatinnam. They have
also procured utensils, garments & distributed to villages in
Pudhukalpakkam near Mahapalipuram.
• R.C.MADRAS MYLAPORE:
Medicines worth Rs.30,000 distributed at relief camp at Srinivasa
Puram, Nochikuppam, Doomingkuppam, Dethernagar in Chennai.
Rs.15000 is given to the Deputy Commissioner of Police towards
purchase of searchlights & reflector jackets.

• R.C. CHENNAI KILPAUK:
Donated 2000 bags of rice costing Rs.4 lakhs. Donated 800 kits of
stoves, cooking utensils, jerry can to victims in Cuddalore & another
800 kits to victims in Nagapattinam at the cost of Rs.7.5 lakhs.
• R.C.MADRAS PALLAVA:
Rs 2.5lakhs collected & distributed to 182 families in
Sadurangapattinam.
• R.C.EAGLE TOWN THIRUKKAZHIKUNDRAM:
About 5000 people were provided shelter and transport from affected
areas in in Devanerikuppam, Verapurusha Kuppam, Oyyalikuppam.

13. We have identified villages to provide complete rehabilitation like:
• Providing Fishing nets for each family.
• Housing
• Repairing the motor which is used for running the Catamarans and the
boats.
• Repairing Catamarans.
• Providing boats or repairing the existing ones
• Community centers which will provide training in new fishing techniques.
• Communication equipment for boats.
• Cold storage equipments for storing fish
• Providing basic housing facilities in consultation with the Government
authorities after obtaining the necessary permission.
