But the questions are: why these people suffer an addiction? , How and why those people get addicted? What are addictive personalities? , Is important to Know the reasons of these kind of behavior as the addiction is.<br />First of all, let’s define what an addiction is. Addiction has been defined with regard solely to psychoactive substances; furthermore, sometimes addiction applied to compulsions that are not substance-related, such as problem gambling and computer addiction. In these kinds of common usages, the term addiction is used to describe a recurring compulsion by an individual to engage in some specific activity, despite harmful consequences, as deemed by the user himself to his individual health, mental state, or social life.<br />Addictive personality disorder may be defined as a psychological setback that makes a person more susceptible to addictions. This can include anything from drug and alcohol abuse to pornography, gambling, videogames, food, exercise, work and even relations with others. Experts describe the spectrum of behaviors designated as addictive in terms of five interrelated concepts which include patterns, habits, compulsions, impulse control disorders, and physical addiction. An individual is considered to be at the risk of developing such addictions when he/she displays signs of impulsive behavior, nonconformity combined with a weak commitment to the goals for achievement valued by the society, a sense of social alienation, and a sense of heightened stress .Such a person may switch from one addiction to another other or even sustain multiple addictions at different times.<br />Sometimes, the reason of why a person become addictive is because the social environment that surround he/she, that push them to get in that kind of behavior, the pressure that the people can do can be debast for the addictive personalities, people who live, work or go to school in an environment in which the use of alcohol and other drugs is common are more likely to abuse drugs.<br />Nevertheless, there is something more behind that. There are some reasons more that explain why some people get addictive like the genetic that plays a significant role, for example If you have parents with alcoholism, for instance, makes you more times than other children, to become an alcoholics; moreover, a childhood trauma: Scientists know that abuse or neglect of children, persistent conflict in the family, sexual abuse and other traumatic childhood experiences can shape a child's brain chemistry and subsequent vulnerability to addiction.<br />Mental illness, many addicted people also suffer from mental health disorders, especially anxiety, depression or mood illnesses. Stress and Addiction: Science shows that stress and addiction are so closely intertwined that to recover, people with addictions must learn new ways of coping with stress. In addition, the early use of drugs: The earlier a person begins to use drugs the more likely they are to progress to more serious abuse. <br />However, the decision to become an addictive person is on your hands; you make your own destiny, it does not matter if you have reasons; although the addictions are so hard, and when the person have an addictive personalities the decisions and the steps to survive an addiction are more difficult, the person have to fight; we have to choose the best way and try to avoid these kind of behavior, and as a member of the society we must change, and help the people that have some problems and are expose to become an addict.<br />
