The presentation explains the importance of having Ethernet networking capabilities for robust time-critical services. This helps to make Ethernet networks ready for deterministic unified networking.

By covering time-critical, time-sensitive, and best effort traffic, we can integrate critical command and control systems, audio/video, and standard LAN applications. With time-critical QoS Layer 2 services, Ethernet networks can efficiently and natively handle both synchronous and asynchronous communication.

Therefore Ethenret can cover different applications and can be used as a deterministic networking technology for time-, safety-, and mission-critical embedded systems and critical infrastructure applications.
